A Watery Escape

The past few weeks have felt heavy and riddled with fear. Fear of the ‘what if’s’ that continually cross my mind and fear of how things ‘might’ play out. I don’t want to go there but I find myself there… poking these thoughts with a stick. It’s been a lesson in surrender and faith and I can’t say I am passing with flying colors.

So after a challenging few weeks it was a blessing to venture out with my family. An early morning watery escape as we set off in search of Manatees. The day rich with new experiences and great new memories made. The solitude of the early morning boat trip on a steamy river and the look on their little faces as their eyes delighted in all the newness encompassed in our adventure, were so good for my soul. Here is some of what we saw.
