Day 3 and 4 of our Gourmet Cycling Travel trip took us across the border to Spain. A little town called Vielha. We stayed in the charming Iori hotel. The owner of the hotel, a Japanese ski instructor living in this lovely little town, cooked us a delicious Japanese style macro biotic meal our first night there. I really loved this place. It really had a zen like feel and Yoko the owner could not have been any more accommodating.

Highlights of our stay in Vielha:

Gorgeous views

We headed over to the town Bagneres De Luchon to watch the Tour De France Stage start.

TDF fans of all ages turned up to wish the riders a great day in the saddle.

Witnessed this that made me go hhmmmm……?

Watching the riders head out for another long day in the saddle.

Supporting our own guys during their ride back to our hotel.

A great end to a fun day. Cooking class by our very own Chef Jon followed by a delicious meal.

Next we head to Paris. Stay tuned!

That’s so cool! Do you go on all his tours or just certain favorites?

Your pictures look amazing! IT sounds like the most incredible trip….did you do the planning for this trip? Or were you on a tour?

Hi Katie, thanks for the comment! My husband runs bike tours so this was one of our tours to the Tour De France. It was a great time as always! 🙂
